A family session with me is relaxed and fun. My goal is to beautifully reflect the season of life your family is in, and to capture all of the authentic joy and magic that shines through when you're together.
That might be your newborn tucked against your chest, your toddler racing across a field, or three generations squeezed onto one picnic blanket. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and the family dog are always welcome.
You don't need to know how to pose. I'll guide you with simple prompts (walk together, whisper a secret, tickle the little ones) so the photos look like you, just a little more golden.
How a family session works

1. Tell me about your family
Send me a note with who's coming, the ages of your kids, and the kind of photos you love. We'll pick a date and a location that suits you.
2. Plan what to wear
Coordinating, not matching. A cohesive wardrobe styling consult is available upon request if you'd like help pulling everyone's outfits together.
3. Enjoy your session
We'll play, wander, and snuggle while I capture the moments in between. Little ones who need a snack break or a minute to warm up are completely normal.

Family session FAQ
Who can be in a family session?
Anyone you call family: parents and kids, new babies, grandparents, extended family, and pets. Let me know who's coming so I can plan the right location and timing.
What if my kids won't sit still or smile?
That's what kids do, and it's part of the fun. My sessions are built around play and movement rather than stiff posing, so wiggly, giggly, and even grumpy moments often become favorite photos.
What should we wear?
Choose a palette of two or three soft colors, mix in a little texture or pattern, and avoid large logos. A cohesive wardrobe styling consult is available upon request.
Where will our session take place?
Usually at a park or open field close to you, or in your home if you'd like cozy, everyday photos. We'll choose the spot together when we plan your session.
Do you photograph parties or events?
No. I focus on planned portrait sessions for families and children rather than live events like birthday parties, showers, or reunions. If you'd like photos around a special occasion, we can schedule a portrait session just before or after it.
